Job Description:

KPMG in the Cayman Islands provides independent audit services designed to enhance the reliability of information prepared by our clients for use by investors, creditors and other stakeholders in accordance with country-specific statutory requirements. Audit services also include a wide range of other forms of attestation reports.The economic climate has shareholders and other stakeholders looking for high levels of assurance. Our objective is to perform an audit with integrity and provide the robust and independent opinion required as the basis for decision making in the capital markets.

Job Responsibilities:

• Managing a large and complex client portfolio;
• Managing multiple projects;
• Researching accounting and regulatory issues;
• Reviewing financial statements in accordance with US GAAP, UK GAAP and International Accounting Standards;
• Playing an active role in the management and supervision of the personnel within the audit practice;
• Reviewing detailed audit work of various insurance and investment structures and related vehicles;
• Developing client proposals, presentations & other client related documents

Job Requirements/Qualifications:

• Applicants must hold a recognized professional accounting designation (e.g. CPA, CA, etc.) with at least six years of relevant external audit experience, preferably with a Big 4 accounting firm.
• This position requires audit experience in the financial services industry, in addition to extensive knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS and a highly motivated individual with strong management and communication skills, attention for detail, and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
• The candidate will need to be able to work a flexible schedule as overtime is required.
