Job Description:

In this role, you will help to build the next generation of the Google in-car experience. Our team works on everything from user experience to monitoring. We ensure that Google and third-party apps will be functional and safe while our users are getting to their destinations.

Job Responsibilities:

Review code developed by other engineers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
Design, guide, and vet systems designs within the scope of the broader area, and write product or system development code to solve ambiguous problems.
Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback.
Build drive-optimized apps and user experiences.

Job Requirements/Qualifications:

3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization involving cross-functional, and/or cross-business projects.
5 years of experience with iOS or Android application development.
5 years of experience with performance, large scale systems data analysis, visualization tools, and/or debugging.
Experience with Android or mobile software engineering.
3 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction.
Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
