    Job Description:

    This individual should be an independent self-starter who become a key member of the data governance squad and who will work with Data Stewards and other key WI partners to cultivate and manage business metadata across existing platforms; as well as, metadata moving into new cloud based platforms. New cloud-based technologies will include but not be limited to Snowflake and governance applications such as Collibra, Alation, Big ID, and Manta.

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Implementing enterprise data governance strategies in line with the organization’s business strategy and objectives:
    • Reducing risk associated with the misuse of data
    • Working with platform owners to expand the completeness and richness of the data catalog
    • Expanding the use and adoption of the data catalog to enable associates to access data more efficiently
    • Ensuring clear data policies, standards, data sharing and data quality rules
    • Developing metrics, scorecards that are used to collaborate with data owners and stewards to drive the completion, ongoing update, and accuracy opportunities for their subject area
    • Contributing to the refinement and prioritization of the squad’s backlog
    • Collaborating with partners and squad members to ensure ongoing training and education

    Job Requirements/Qualifications:

    • Proven experience with the authoring and execution of SQL and/or Python.
    • The ability to summarize or draw conclusions from data and convey those conclusions in an efficient manner.
    • Knowledgeable of how data supports the business strategy, and how it is used within business processes to deliver value to key partners
    • Experience with Data Catalogs, Business Terms/Glossaries, Confluence, Jira, PowerBI, Snowflake preferred
    • BS/BA degree
    • You are passionate for data and how data is used to drive enterprise business strategy
    • You can understand how data is structured and navigate complex data structures to build accurate insights.
    • You are described by others as intellectually curious and/or a problem solver
    • You are a continuous learner who seeks to transform and innovate
    • You possess outstanding communication skills across both business and technical domains
    • You have built trusted strong working relationships
    • You work well independently but enjoy the power of being part of team
