    The mission of the FBI’s Health Care Fraud Case Support Team is to assist in the investigation of fraud cases involving major health care providers that operate in multiple jurisdictions and issues of national priority that require a rapid response.  The team works with DOJ’s National Rapid Response Strike Force (NRRSF).   The FBI Health Care Fraud Unit (HCFU) established the Health Care Fraud National Response Team (HCFNRT), which is comprised of Special Agents, to work with the DOJ Trial Attorneys on the NRRSF.  The FoAs will work in support of the FBI’s Health Care Fraud Case Support Team, supporting both criminal and civil investigations.IT SPECIALIST

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate with other LD ITSs as well as peers in other FBI IT positions.
    • Help ensure that LD systems and networks are in compliance with OCIO requirements to include ESOC network and system logging, multifactor authentication, and steps towards obtaining or retaining an Authority to Operate
    • Serve as the IT SME over all scientific specialty networks, to include BASNET and CHEMNET.
    • Will serve as a representative for one or more LD Sections in decision making at the Division level concerning IT operations.
    • Communicate technical IT concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences/
    • Oversee day to day work of contract IT staff to ensure contract deliverables are met.
    • Serve as the LD IT SME over infrastructure, to include on prem specialty network(s) and infrastructure in the cloud.
    • Responsible for gathering the unique requirements of all units and sections that use networked scientific instruments to perform forensic analyses in the LD.
    • Chair the LD IT Working Group.
    • Advise Unit Leadership as well as stakeholder units and programs within the LD about IT purchases related to or included with scientific equipment.
    • Communicate clearly and thoroughly with LD System Owners, Technical Points of Contact, Program Managers, customers, and management in various technical areas to include infrastructure.

    Job Requirements/Qualifications:

    • Must be a current, permanent FBI employee.
    • As a condition of employment, DNA samples are required from all FBI personnel who interact with evidence or federal DNA database samples in Laboratory Division (LD) space or whose work requires them to enter LD examination areas where evidence or DNA database samples are processed or examined as part of the quality control process to detect sample/evidence contamination, in accordance with the Genetic Information
    • Nondiscrimination Act of 2008 (GINA), 75 Federal Register (FR) 68932; 29 C.F.R. 1635.8(b)(6).
